Harvey Weinstein is at the center of yet another sexual assault lawsuit. Kaja Sokola, a former teen model, claims that Weinstein sexually assaulted her in 2002 when she was only 16 years old.

She had moved from Poland to help her career as a model and actress, and Weinstein offered to meet her for lunch to give her advice about her career. Instead, he had her brought to his apartment where he sexually assaulted her.

Sokola has since moved back to Poland and is a clinical psychologist. She was formerly involved in a class-action lawsuit against Weinstein as a Jane Doe.

The Details Are Horrific

The details of her account are absolutely horrific. In the lawsuit, she claims that Weinstein "aggressively and threateningly demand[ed] sex" from Sokola and he "took Sokola’s hand and placed it on her vagina” and demanded that she touch herself. She "did not want to do anything further and resisted his demands," but he overpowered her, grabbing her breasts and forcing her to touch his penis.

According to the suit, "As Harvey Weinstein forcibly caused her to touch him, Sokola continuously protested. However, Harvey Weinstein’s demeanor became intense, as if he was hunting prey. Sokola realized then he was determined to sexually satisfy himself with her in whatever way he wanted."

The suit continued, explaining that he ejaculated on the floor, forced her to remain in the room, and pursued her for weeks after the incident, to "make sure that she understood that he was the only person who could help her become an actress."

She Rejects The Recent Settlement

Weinstein was recently back in the news after settling with some of his victims for $25 million, Sokola explains that she doesn't find that outcome satisfying at all.

"I cannot accept the proposed ‘global settlement’ as fair or just. There is no accountability for the perpetrators, insufficient compensation for all of the victims, and millions of dollars going to people that I believe enabled Weinstein… I know that this lawsuit cannot erase the pain that I have been living with for 17 years. But I do hope to achieve at least some measure of justice that has still been denied to Harvey Weinstein’s many victims."

A Statement From Her Lawyer

Sokola’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, also released a statement on why there going forward with the lawsuit.

"While others may have decided to settle, albeit under some of the most offensive and one-sided terms, we hope that the filing of this complaint encourages other victims and the New York Attorney General to join us as we continue our efforts at holding Harvey Weinstein and his enablers accountable. Kaja Sokola, who was sexually abused by Harvey Weinstein when she was only 16 years old, is entitled to justice, and we intend to see that she gets it.”

A representative of Weinstein denied all claims to Rolling Stone.
