Eminem is one more year clean and sober and is making it clear that’s how he plans on living the rest of his life.
The rap legend shared his milestone with fans Saturday morning by saying, “11 years – still not afraid.” Along with his message he showed his open hand with a gold and blue recovery medallion stamped with the numerals “XI.”
The coin, featuring the three legacies of recovery, unity and service is the traditional emblem for Alcoholics Anonymous, and is used to commemorate milestones in a recovering addicts journey.
Eminem has been extremely open about his addiction to pills, and revealed that he once overdosed while self-medicating. He credits much of his recovery to running and getting back in shape.
And, of course, kicking Machine Gun Kelly around.
