Priscilla Presley Breaks Silence On Grandson's Death -- These Are 'Darkest Days Of My Family’s Life'

Priscilla Presley is breaking her silence on the death of her grandson, Ben Keough, who passed away earlier this month of an apparent suicide -- calling it the 'darkest' days of her family's life.

Elvis Presley's former spouse issues a statement on Facebook addressing the tragic death of her grandson, describing the 'shock' the family has felt after the devastating loss.

"These are some of the darkest days of my family’s life. The shock of losing Ben has been devastating. Trying to put all the pieces together of all the possible whys has penetrated my soul. Each day I wake up I pray it will get better," she began.

As we reported, Lisa Marie Presley's son died on July 12, at the age of 27, after what the L.A. County Coroner's office called a self-inflicted 'intraoral shotgun wound.'

Priscilla continued, "Then, I think of my daughter and the pain she is going through as she was a doting mother. Ben’s father, Danny, who is completely lost, as Ben was his only son. Riley, so loving and so close to him; Harper and Finley, who absolutely adored Ben. Navarone, who struggles deeply with loss and death. Rest In Peace Ben, you were loved. ❤️"

A lawyer for Ben's mother, Lisa Marie Presley, issued a statement following her son's death, saying, "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

Elvis fans flooded Priscilla's Facebook page to send messages of support.

"I know it doesn’t help your suffering and pain but I’m sincerely sorry for all your family's pain and loss. Ben was such a beautiful man and this has truly been a shock to us all. RIP Ben🙏" one message read.

"It’s so hard to lose a loved one, being in the spotlight I’m sure can make it even tougher. Just know your family is loved by so many and prayed for,' another added.

As we reported, Lisa Marie Presley has had a rough few years after having to fight over her father's 100 Million fortune and be involved in a nasty custody war over her other children.
