Viral Homeless Subway Singer Offered New Violin By Family Of Famous Elvis Presley Hit Maker

The homeless woman who went viral online for her beautiful singing voice was just offered a gift of a lifetime, a brand new violin courtesy of musician Corky Hale and her husband Elvis Presley hitmaker, Mike Stoller.

If you haven't seen it yet, a video was posted by LAPD of a homeless woman singing in an LA Metro station, and her voice is unbelievable.

After the video went viral online, the woman told reporters she is a Russian immigrant who fell on hard times. She claims she played violin on the streets of Los Angeles to earn money. But, a few years ago the $10,000 violin was stolen.

So, Corky Hale, a giant in the music industry who has performed live with stars like Frank Sinatra George Michael, Tony Bennett, Billie Holiday, Liberace, and Barbara Streisand and has offered to purchase a new violin to replace the stolen one suffered by the woman.

Hale tells The Blast, "I’m trying to get a hold of her to tell her the good news. As a jazz harpist and singer, I know how horrible it is if your instruments go missing and you can’t make a living."


The woman has also recently been offered a recording contract, so this could come in handy.

Corky is married to legendary songwriter Mike Stoller. Stoller, along with partner Jerry Lieber wrote some of Elvis Presley's biggest hits. Some of those include monsters like, "Jailhouse Rock", "Love Me," and "Hound Dog."
