Ellen DeGeneres is allegedly upset with reports she is a really mean person.

According to Us Weekly, Ellen is upset with the negative press she has been receiving. A source told the outlet, “Ellen is at the end of her rope. She thought this was all just sour grapes from a few haters. But it’s not a passing thing — the hits just keep coming.”

The outlet reports Ellen has been leaning on her wife, Portia de Rossi, amid ex-employees calling her out for being a rude diva.

The source added, “Ellen’s so grateful to have Portia in her life as a soulmate and a sounding board, but that doesn’t mean it’s been easy. Their home life is strained right now. … Her real friends never ask her to be funny or tell jokes. They accept her as is.”

As The Blast previously reported, last month, Ellen caught heat from her employees who accused her of screwing them during the pandemic.

Variety broke the story, Ellen’s talk show crew are “furious” over the treatment they received during the health crisis and show shutdown.

The employees felt they were left in the dark for weeks about their future. They eventually were told to be ready to take a 60% pay reduction. Many felt it was odd Ellen hired a third-party crew to shoot her show from home.

Ellen reportedly makes $50 million a year for her talk show. Her reported net worth is $330 million.

Prior to the employee story, Ellen faced backlash after comedian Kevin T. Porter called her out on Twitter. He asked his followers for the “most insane” stories they’ve heard about Ellen’s behavior.

He labeled Ellen as “notoriously one of the meanest people alive.” The tweet lead to countless tweets from ex-employees who detailed alleged incidents where Ellen was incredibly nasty to them, wouldn’t let them look in her eyes at work and one said he was fired for refusing to work during a writer’s strike.

On top of all that, Ellen was trashed for comparing self-isolation inside her mega-mansion to jail.
