Drake is responding after his dad claimed the rapper made up his lyrics over their strained relationship to "sell records."

The "Care Package" rapper took to social media on Tuesday to dismiss his father Dennis Graham's claims which he made during an interview with Nick Cannon.

Drake's Response:

Drake said he woke up feeling "so hurt" over his dad's words.

"My father will say anything to anymore that's willing to listen to him," he wrote. "It's sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that's the people we are stuck with."

Flat out denying he ever lied in his lyrics about his dad, Drake ended the statement saying, "every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept."

Dennis sat down with Power 106's Nick Cannon Mornings radio show last week and told the DJ that Drake admitted he wrote lyrics just to "sell records," especially when it came to music about his rough relationship with his dad.

Often Drake sings about how Dennis was an absentee father most of his life.

When asked about it, Graham said he has "always been with Drake."

"I talked to him if not every day, every other day and we really got into a deep conversation about that, 'I said Drake, why are you saying all this different stuff about me man like this is not cool'," Graham told Cannon. "He goes 'Dad it sells records,' and I said 'Okay well cool.'"

His song "Look What You've Done" talks about his father allegedly not paying child support or being around for big life events.

"And my father living in Memphis now, he can't come this way/Over some minor charges and child support/That just wasn't paid, damn/Boo-hoo, sad story—Black American dad story," Drizzy says on the track.

While Drake has responded with disappointment, Dennis clearly thinks the two are still cool.
