The Drake Curse lives on and now the Toronto Raptors should be nervous.
Formerly undefeated boxing champion Anthony Joshua lost via TKO in a stunning upset on Saturday night to Andy Ruiz Jr. at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
As if the upset was not enough, it turns out that back in March, Joshua tweeted a photo with Drake. He captioned the photo, "Bout to break the curse ? #June1st."
The Internet had a field day piling on Drake after the loss. One fan wrote, "The #DrakeCurse has seriously reached Final Destination levels of inevitability. It may not get you today, tomorrow, or your immediate fight... But it will get you in the end! "
Boxing promoter Lou DiBella even got in on the act, joking, "None of my fighters can go near @Drake. Writing it into my bout agreements."
The Raptors play the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. Perhaps the team should let Drake watch from home.
