Dr. Dre & Wife Nicole Young All Smiles Together Months Before Divorce, No Signs Of Trouble

By Ryan Naumann

Dr. Dre & his wife Nicole Young appeared happy holding hands together while walking the red carpet only months before divorce papers were filed to end their marriage.

Back in February, Dre, Nicole and their daughter Truly attended the Tom Ford AW20 Show at Milk Studios in Hollywood, California. The trio arrived together and entered into the venue together. As they strolled by photographers, the family, including Dre and Nicole, looked like they were enjoying their time at the party.

The family was looking stylish in coordinated black ensembles. In the photos, Nicole is clearly wearing her massive wedding ring. The photos don’t show any signs of trouble for the couple but clearly issues arose later on.

As The Blast previously reported, Dr. Dre’s wife filed for divorce from the music mogul in Los Angeles Superior Court. The two were married on May 25, 1996 and share two kids, Truly and a son named Truice.

Nicole was prominently featured in the 2017 HBO docu-series “The Defiant Ones” which focused on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s relationship over the years.

Dr. Dre, who is not an active social media user, last posted Nicole on his feed in 2018. He shared a romantic photo of them on a yacht captioned, “Was just an average Tuesday. This is what the fuck we do!!!

The marriage has remained solid despite life’s ups and downs and many looked at the couple’s relationship as the gold standard.

The divorce comes as Dr. Dre has started making headlines for being spotted in the studio with Kanye West and Snoop Dogg.

Last year, Dr. Dre caused controversy following Truly’s acceptance into USC. He posted a photo revealing his daughter had been admitted to the University writing, “all on her own. No jail time!!!" He was making reference to Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman who had just been arrested for allegedly making bribes to get their daughters into college.
