Dr. Dre's wife, Nicole Young, has officially filed for divorce from the hip-hop mogul after 24 years of marriage!
According to legal documents, filed in Los Angeles County Court, Nicole Young filed documents to end the couple's marriage citing 'irreconcilable differences.'
The couple shares two children, a son Truice, and a daughter Truly, but both of them are adults. In other words, the now-former couple will not have to deal with any child support issues.
What they will have to figure out is now to split up their MASSIVE $800 Million fortune. As you know, Dre is one of the most successful musicians in history, and recently sold his stake in 'Beats' headphones for Billions of dollars.
In the documents, Nicole is asking the court to award her spousal support in the divorce, and she is represented by celebrity attorney Samantha Spector.
Interestingly, Nicole was just featured on the HBO docu-series 'The Defiant Ones' where she spoke highly of her now estranged husband.
Dr. Dre's wife was formally married to an NBA player, Sedale Threatt, and currently works as a lawyer in Los Angeles. It's unclear if any specific incident caused the couple's split or if they just grew apart.
At this point, Dre has not responded to the divorce, but our guess is this will be settled privately out of court.
In 2018, the couple celebrated their 22-year wedding anniversary by flying in a private helicopter to see the musical Hamilton.
Dr. Dre married Nicole in 1996, the same year he left Death Row Records to start his own label, Aftermath Entertainment.
The Hip-Hop mogul has five other children, Curtis Young, La Tanya Danielle Young, Tyra Young, Marcel Young, and Andre Young Jr., who passed away in 2008 from a drug overdose.
The estranged couple has several massive homes including one on the beach in Malibu, CA -- and one in the Los Angeles Valley.
