Dove Cameron Got The Coolest Tattoo In Cameron Boyce's Honor!

Dove Cameron honored her late friend Cameron Boyce with a beautiful and badass tattoo! The 23-year-old actress did a day in her life video with Vogue called "Dove Cameron Gets a Tattoo and Goes Rock Climbing | 24 Hours With | Vogue."

The title pretty much says it all but during the 12-minute video, the "Descendants" star revealed that her new ink has a special meaning and that she will think of Boyce every time she sees it.

Dove's cool new tattoo is of a revolver with a single rose sticking out of the barrel and she explained that she is very pro-gun regulation. She said the tattoo is a commonly recognized anti-gun violence symbol that alines with Boyce's sentiment.

"My friend Cameron passed away a few months ago," Dove told the camera, "and he was starting this organization called Wield In Peace."

She continued, "He wanted to get influential people holding things that sort of looked like they were in the shape of a gun but then it would be something artistic or peaceful. He did it with a bouquet of flowers actually."

Dove confessed when she was on the way to the tattoo parlor that the Boyce tribute tattoo would be her 11th tattoo and joked that it is almost an everyday occurrence. She also stated that she wanted her boyfriend to get his neck tattooed after a recent experience with an inked up model.

"My boyfriend always talks about wanting a neck tattoo and I'm like, 'Do it.'" Cameron revealed. "It's hot, it's so hot!"

"We like hired a model for my music video and he had a neck tattoo all the way up to here," she said as she brought her hand up to her chin. "And I was like, 'Baby, you have to get this."

20-year-old Boyce died at his home in Los Angeles and his family released a statement that revealed he passed due to a seizure.

Shortly after, Dove posted a video where she broke down in tears reading a letter she penned to her late friend. The Disney star said that she was unsure how to deal with her grief but therapy helped her come to the conclusion to write her emotions down.

"Over the last six years, since he was only 14, Cameron talked me down from countless ledges, talked me through eating disorders, helped me out of a dark relationship and through endless breakdowns," she said.

“Goodbye my dear, dear friend and brother,” Dove continued. “You leave behind a colossal wake, a profound chasm that can never be filled, but you also leave millions and millions of deeply impacted, hope-filled and loved-filled human beings who are who they are because of you and how you spent your brief 20 years on this Earth.”
