Dove Cameron tearfully recalled her dear friend Cameron Boyce in a heartfelt letter she wrote remembering the fallen star.

It's been several days since the Disney star's passing and his "Descendants" co-star has waited to say anything on his death because she's been unsuccessful in "trying to make my thoughts and feelings into words and communicate about anything I’m feeling."

But after her therapy session on Tuesday, Dove let the tears flow by reading a handwritten four-page letter about Boyce, who she calls an "earth angel."

The duo, who appeared in the "Descendants" franchise together alongside Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart, became close over the past six years.

Before beginning her emotional video, Dove explains, “I felt really weird about posting about Cameron on social media because I felt really emotional and private and intimate and social media is the opposite of that."

Continuing her thought, she says, “I just couldn’t quite reconcile the two or make them fit so I didn’t know what I was going to do.”

"I’ve decided that the only way to get through it right now is to be expressive and connective."

The star then begins reading the letter.

“I’ve been unsuccessful thinking about trying to summarize something where there are no adequate words in the English language,” Dove explains of her grief. "I’ve been mostly quiet or expressive through crying. I’ve never stuttered and unable to speak before these last few days. My system is still in shock, my brain is still foggy and full of holes.”

Turning the focus on Boyce's parents, Victor and Libby, as well as his sister, Maya, Dove breaks down in tears.

“You are all I can think about. My heart aches for you, I’m broken for you," she states. "I have close to nothing left, which tells me some small percentage about how you must be feeling.”

Dove then begins talking about her love for Boyce, saying he was "one of my favorite people alive in the world" and "an earth angel."

"Over the last six years, since he was only 14, Cameron talked me down from countless ledges, talked me through eating disorders, helped me out of a dark relationship and through endless breakdowns," she adds.

“Goodbye my dear, dear friend and brother,” she continues. “You leave behind a colossal wake, a profound chasm that can never be filled, but you also leave millions and millions of deeply impacted, hope-filled and loved-filled human beings who are who they are because of you and how you spent your brief 20 years on this Earth.”

“What a gift you were; you turned the world on its head,” Dove ends her letter saying. “We can all only hope to be half the human that you were and you deserved so much more time … I will spend the rest of my life missing and loving you, and I’m all the better for knowing you.”

The 20-year-old died on Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. At the time, his family released a statement and revealed he suffered from a seizure, but The Blast has learned he also quietly suffered from epilepsy.

Law enforcement sources told us that Boyce had a history of epileptic seizures, and his family relayed that information to investigators after the young star died.

"He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated," Boyce's family said.

They added, "The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him."

Since his passing, stars like Adam Sandler, Debby Ryan and more have paid tribute to Boyce.

As we reported, Boyce's official cause of death has not been determined, as officials need to run toxicology tests following his autopsy.
