Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman’s daughter has formally been charged with Harassment in Hawaii after prosecutors claim she put her hands on officers who arrived at her home for a disturbance.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Sun, Lyssa was charged with two counts of harassment, each related to a different person.
The charging documents say Lyssa is accused of “intent to harass annoy, or alarm” officers Kevin Rojas and Alema Everett on February 3.
The officers were called to Lyssa’s home after an argument with her current girlfriend, was loud enough to bring out the authorities. She was arrested following the incident, and taken to a Kaneohe County, Hawaii jail and booked on harassment charges.
The legal filing claims Lyssa did “strike, shove, kick or otherwise touch” the officers “in an offensive manner” and/or subject them to “offensive physical contact, thereby committing the offense of Harassment.
Lyssa was arrested on January 30, after an argument with her girlfriend brought the cops out to her home. She was later released on $600 bail the same day.
According to reports, Lyssa says she and her partner Leiana “both had been drinking” and they got in a non-physical argument. So, when the police arrived for the disturbance it “surprised” Dog’s daughter.
She claims she was arrested by officers after she “put her arm up to the police officer to stop them from coming in…the situation was definitely escalated by the police and they were very rough on me,” she told the Sun.
Lyssa says she will now file a complaint against the police officers involved in the way they handled the situation.
“The whole thing has been really upsetting. I’m sorry and embarrassed. It’s just been a stressful time for me and my family,” she told the newspaper.
Dog’ daughter has made headlines recently after publically calling out her dad’s rumored fiance Moom Angell, for getting close to him after her mom’s death.
In December she tweeted, “You’re a disgusting woman. Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, is the lowest scum on the planet.”
She commented again when Dog posted a photo with Angell, saying, “If someone who met your family by dating your brother tried to date your father after your step-mom died, what would you do?”
Lyssa is now due back in a Hawaii court to face the charges.
