‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ just asked his new alleged girlfriend, Moon Angell, to marry him while making an appearance on the Dr. Oz show…and he’s got his fans going nuts over it, but it’s not exactly what it seems.
Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman sat down with Dr. Oz to go over updates to his life after Beth’s death, including his thoughts about suicide. As we reported, Dog considered taking his own life after the depression set in over Beth’s death.
In the clip, you can see Dog is very upset while talking about the subject and becomes very emotional. But, when the camera pans back you see Moon Angell is sitting beside him during part of the interview.
In a shocking moment, Dog is heard saying, “I am a lot happier with her around,” while looking at Angell.
She responds, “I have lots of enemies right now.” It’s clear Moon is speaking of Dog’s daughter who has been relentless on Twitter attacking Moon for having a relationship with Dog so soon after her mom’s death.
Then, it happens…..Dog looks at her and says, “Moon Angell will you marry me?”
You can see Moon is stunned by the question, but it’s a tease for the interview airing on February 2, on the Dr. Oz show so we don’t see the outcome.
Dog has previously denied any romantic relationship with Moon saying, “Moon has been a trustworthy and loyal friend to me for over 20 years,” he said. “She has been with my family through many ups and downs. All my children are grown and gone on their own, there’s no one left to help me! Moon is experienced. It’s just that. Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her. There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad.”
Apparently, Dog did not actually get engaged and just got caught up in the television moment. Dog did not get a ring for Moon, and at this point is not going through with a real engagement. But, that didn’t stop the reality star’s fans from taking to social media in reaction to the moment.
A marriage proposal?

“And he promised Beth he’d never marry another woman… Sure date someone do whatever but to Marry someone so quickly is such a disrespect to Beth my lord the one ultimate thing she asked him not to do,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Duane, you need to get some counseling if you’re crying when you propose. You made Beth a promise. I totally understand not wanting to be alone, but marriage isn’t the way for that to happen. That’s a way to trap someone, thinking that your pain is ok. It’s not.”
As you can see…a few fans are upset by the situation, “No im heartbroken. Was it all a lie?? Why? why? I truly thought you loved Beth when somebody loves a person as deeply as you said you did it doesn’t take less than a year to move on to a new person I understand Moving on but damn you couldn’t give her a year,” one fan posted.
Not everyone felt the same way, and in several other reactions, people defended Dog and his choices, but they are taking it out on Moon, “You all need to back off with the negative remarks. The man is in great pain & loneliness. When someone is in his face in his life with no regard to a woman was Moon’s friend. You can’t blame him. She is wrong. Duane follows me on Twitter. I’ve reached out to him. Stop bashing him.”
As for his daughter Lyssa, she has not posted any specific reaction to the story, but said this, “I will not tweet. I willl not tweet I will not tweet. I will not tweet.”
