Dog The Bounty Hunter’s daughter, Bonnie, is supporting her dad against haters who are judging him for such a quick engagement with his new fiance, Francie Frane.
Duane Chapman just reposted an article, on his Instagram, announcing he is now engaged and several fans were not so nice about Dog popping the question just 10 months after Beth Chapman’s death.
So, his daughter Bonnie Jo jumped to his defense asking that they just let her father live his life in peace.
“As usual very thankful for those who are supportive, to those who want to criticize: please just let my father live in peace. Let him be happy, please for the love of God let him be. My father has gone through so much this past year without my mother. It’s been extremely difficult to see one parent pass, and the other so intent on following. My father deserves to be happy,” she began.
As for the timing of the engagement and how Beth Chapman would feel about the situation, Bonnie says, “He’s still got my mother’s name on his chest, he’ll never forget her and the love she gave him. She would be happy my father is in love and finding peace.”
She continued, “Please keep your comments to yourself, and if you can’t then it reflects more on you than him. Life has never been easy for my dad, but love is something that comes naturally to him. Francie is a wonderful woman, as usual, no one can replace my mother; but it’s okay to let new people in. Life is filled with so much sorrow and hurt, in times like this is when love is found unexpected.”
As you can imagine, many of the fans who are sharing their opinion about the engagement, are saying they believe Beth would be upset with such a quick engagement.
But, Bonnie addressed this exact point in her statement:
“For those who claim to know my mother’s wishes: please remember that we as a family went through every excruciating and painful detail of what was next. I had this talk with her, my mother had so much love for my father, she would never want him to be alone. My mom wanted him to be happy no matter what. There is always going to be one and only one Mrs. Dog.”
“Welcome to the pack, Francie,” she ended the message.
As we reported, Dog’s family has been very supportive of his relationship with Francie, and his daughter is now explaining how the couple’s late spouses are still apart of their everyday life.
“I’m happy for him, my dad has been so sad. Not going to lie it’s been rough seeing him so devastated. People forget that they were together for so long, his everyday life was my mom. His whole world changed,” Bonnie wrote.
She continued, “Francie has made him want to live again, to continue on and they talk about mom and bob a lot. There is no day they don’t miss the ones they’ve lost. I’m not a religious person, but I feel that they were genuinely brought together for a reason.”
Dog and Francie announced their engagement today and shared photos of the new diamond ring with The Sun.
