Comedian D.L. Hughley Hospitalized After Collapsing In Middle Of Comedy Set

Comedian D.L. Hughley was hospitalized overnight after collapsing on stage during his comedy set in Nashville, Tennesse.

In the video, obtained by The Blast, you can see Hughley start to fade during his set, and at one point, he stops talking altogether. The comedian then passes out cold, as an employee of the comedy club rushes to his side to help him dropping onto the floor.

As he passes out, a bystander holds onto him as he is put down on the ground -- and eventually, the group carries him off stage.

According to multiple reports, D.L was performing to a sold-out crowd at Zanie's Comedy Club in Nashville, TN, and around 11 p.m. something started to affect the comedian's speech.

As it got worse, a security guard handed Hughley a bottle of water, but he passed out anyways.

After the manager of the comedy club broke his fall to the ground, the staff believed it was serious enough to call 911, and have an ambulance transport him to a nearby hospital.

The comedian was taken out of the club on a stretcher and driven to a nearby hospital for further tests.

The good news, D.L. is gonna be just fine. A representative for the singer told TMZ, he was "suffering from exhaustion after all the week's work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor's orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts."

Vlad from VladTV also tweeted he spoke to D.L. and that the comedian would be 'ok.'
