Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines and her estranged husband, Adrian Pasdar, faced off in court Monday in their battle over spousal support, which he claims to desperately need to pay his bills.

Maines and Pasdar were there for a hearing to determine if Maines has to pay monthly support to Pasdar, who had previously requested $60,000 a month in both child and spousal support, claiming he was drowning in debt while Maines continued to live lavishly.

In the hearing, Pasdar's lawyer, Michael Maguire, argued Maines is producing a new album and she has received advances from the future earnings. She denied making bank and claimed she was currently not on tour and pulling in zero monthly.

Maines' attorney, Wallace Fingerett, argued that Pasdar wants child support to pay his debts and fund his lifestyle, and the cash is not for the kids.

In the end, Natalie was ordered to pay some child support for March and April, along with attorney fees to Pasdar's team in the amount of $200,000.

The ex-couple is due back in court on June 24, where they will continue to argue the issue of the validity of the prenup and if he should be paid retroactive support.
