Demi Lovato Got a Tattoo In Memory Of Friend Who Died After Addiction Battle

Demi Lovato just got some new ink in honor of her fallen friend who lost his battle with addiction.

The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer shared the touching tribute showcasing a "T for Tommy" that now lives on her left forearm.

The Tattoo Tribute:

Posting a black and white photo of the tattoo on Monday night, Lovato shared with fans the heartbreaking meaning behind it.

"A T for Tommy. RIP you special angel. Love you forever @sirtruss," she wrote.

As The Blast reported, Lovato's friend died last week after struggling with addiction.

Thanking tattoo artist Rafael Valdez for the work, she stated, "it’s beautiful and I’m so grateful for this."

Lovato's new T sits just above her rose wrist tattoo.

She opened up about Tommy's death after the fact, telling fans that "Addiction is NO joke."

She added, "Heaven gained this beautiful angel last night because of that terrible disease. I'm crushed and will always miss you."

Lovato ended her tribute by encouraging those who need help to seek it.

Addiction is something the singer knows too well.

She's struggled with her own addiction issues in the past, including a near-fatal overdose that landed her in the hospital the summer of 2018.

As The Blast first reported, Lovato was uncooperative with police and would not tell responders what drugs she took when she was questioned about her overdose.

About two weeks later, she entered rehab where she stayed for three months.
