The Hacked Photos

Lovato's Snapchat was hacked on Thursday and nude photographs of the singer were posted to her own Snap account.

At the time, the message directed users to swipe up and join a private group on "discord."

Company Takes Action

We're told the company then became aware of the situation and stopped access to the account.

“We have a zero-tolerance approach to illegal activity on our platform and take immediate action when we become aware of it," the company spokesperson explained.

The immediate action was successful and just minutes after the images were posted, access to the server was taken down. The photos were also removed from her Snapchat.

"We moved quickly yesterday to disable the link and stop access to the server as soon as we became aware of it," the representative added.

Ongoing Problem

Instagram

Demi Lovato is the latest several celebrity victims to have her private photos hacked and posted online. This specific group has taken responsibility for taking over Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey's account.

Demi has not responded to the hacking, and it's unclear if she reported the crime to law enforcement at this point.

Fans Show Support

Instagram

Lovato has had a rough few weeks as she deals with backlash over being paid $150,000 by the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs to visit Israel and be photographed being baptized.

As we reported, Demi is receiving tons of support on social media from fans telling her to keep her head up. Many of the messages point out how violating things of this nature are to do to individuals.

We reached out to the singer, so far not comment.
