Making Her Comeback

After taking over a year off from music to work on her sobriety, Demi Lovato is ready to make her major comeback. Not only is she performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, but she will also be performing at the Grammy Awards on January 26th.

Lovato is thrilled to make an appearance at the Grammys and a source explained that "can’t wait to show the world what she has in store."

The source continued, saying that "she wants it to be perfect" and is pretty nervous. However, "even though it’s been a while since she’s performed live, for her, it’s like riding a bike."

She Wants To Be Perfect

A second source explained that the Grammy performance is really a warm up for the Super Bowl, and Lovato is hoping to make a splash.

"[She is] ready for the Grammys and really looking forward to killing it. The Grammys are taking her away from what she’s actually nervous about and that’s doing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. The anxiety and her nerves are all directed on that performance."

New Music On The Way?

While an official album release date hasn't been announced yet, Lovato teased new music last year. She wrote on her Instagram stories in June:

"You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it."

Her last music release was the 2017 single "Sober," where she sang about a previous relapse. She would go on to overdose about a month after the song's release.

Coming Back From Her Relapse

Lovato has been candid about her journey to sobriety, saying back in March of 2019 that anyone can make their way back from the brink.

"I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes, but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes. Grateful that Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous never shuts the door on you no matter how many times you have to start over. I didn’t lose six years – I’ll always have that experience – but now I just get to add to that time with a new journey and time count. If you’ve relapsed and are afraid to get help again, just know it’s possible to take that step towards recovery. If you are alive today, you can make it back. You are worth it."

We can't wait to see what Lovato does for her big comeback!
