'Delirium' Star Kidnapped and Forced to Cut $10,000 Check for Ransom

A horror actress starring in a Leonardo DiCaprio produced flick experienced a real-life horror situation when she was kidnapped and her actor boyfriend was pistol whipped and held hostage for ransom money.

The details were revealed in a release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office who announced three people have been charged with 17 felony counts, including kidnapping, assault with a firearm, grand theft, mayhem, conspiracy and possession for sale of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Daisy McCrackin was kidnapped on May 3 when the suspects entered her home and pistol whipped a man named Joseph Capone, who is also an actor. The suspects then placed black hoods over the victim's heads and drove them to a home in Compton where they stripped Capone naked and held him without food in a bathtub for 30 hours, according to the indictment.

Capone, who appeared in "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," suffered great bodily injury during the incident.

The suspects then took McCrackin's car and drove her around to multiple banks demanding she pay $10,000 for Capone's release. McCrackin eventually wrote a check and the money was transferred from her account.

She was then able to escape from the suspects and contacted police, who located the three people and arrested them.

All three suspects are now facing life in prison. The case remains under investigation.

McCrackin is known for roles in "House of Demons," "Halloween: Resurrection" and "3000 Miles to Graceland." "Delirium" was released earlier this year and is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and stars Topher Grace.
