David Charvet is finally coming clean that he and soccer star Jermaine Jones’ wife are in a relationship.
The revelation was made Monday morning in a Los Angeles courtroom as the former “Baywatch” star took the stand and testified in defense of trying to get a long term protective order against Jones.
Charvet explained that he first met Sarah Jones through their children’s sports activities and “setting up play dates” before things turned romantic. The actor also went through the texts that were sent to him from Jones, and claimed he was in fear for his life because he feels Jones “will do anything in his power to get his wife back.”
The retired soccer star also took the stand and spoke about discovering the relationship between his wife and Charvet. Jones said he suspected the two were in a relationship and questioned his wife, but claims she denied she was sleeping with Charvet at the time.
Jones said he was emotionally distraught learning to hear that Charvet had picked up his daughters without his knowledge, and admitted to telling the actor to “stay away” from his family.
Sources close to the case tell us Jones is mainly concerned for the well being of his five children. Jones also recently filed a response to his wife’s divorce petition, and made it clear he wants full physical custody of his kids.
Jones’ attorney, Larry Bakman, made an argument to the court Monday afternoon that there was no need for a longterm protective order between Charvet and Jones because there is no threat of violence. He admitted his client may have acted like a “jerk,” but stressed it doesn’t fit the grounds for a “direct threat.”
The judge agreed with Bakman, and denied Charvet’s restraining order. However, he did warn Jones that he should “stay away, for your own good.”
As we reported, Jones was also chatting with Matt Barnes earlier in the day, who was in court dealing with his own legal drama.
