Darlene Love, who sang the original "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," says she was snubbed again this year from performing the hit at the annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting in New York City.

"That’s My Song and I’m Still Alive"

Love went on Facebook with the emoji statement "feeling disappointed," and wrote “Such an insult and let down!”

“They book these young artists who can’t even hit the notes properly and are off key. Makes NO sense!! That’s my song and I’m still alive. Show me some respect!”

Love called out Brad Lachman Productions for not including her and adds that she would only have been booked if she would sing it with Bruce Springsteen or Bette Midler.

"I would NEVER ask my friends to do that," Love wrote.

A Holiday Classic

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is a classic holiday song that radio stations are sure to play this season.

Love's original version has been covered by Mariah Carey, Michael Buble and U2, so if you haven't heard Love's performance, you've heard the song in other ways.

She Spoke Out While the Event Was Happening

Love's post appeared around the same time the tree lighting was taking place.

As Rolling Stone reports, Love has been trying for 10 years to nab this particular performance.

"I'm Worth It"

And while she says she's happy she's come this far, she acknowledges it's a tough business.

"This business can be so unfair at times. Don’t get me wrong, I’m TRULY blessed for what I have accomplished at 78 years of age but it’s still a constant struggle to stay relevant and convince those who control the industry that I’m worth it."
