Dakota Johnson Reveals Why Her Tooth Gap Closed After Fans Point Out Her New Smile

Dakota Johnson is just as disappointed as fans that her tooth gap closed.
Speaking openly about her teeth placement to Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, the 29-year-old "Fifty Shades" actress revealed her gap closing was out of her control.
"I had a permanent retainer since was, like, 13, and it was just glued to the back of my teeth," Johnson said. “And I was having a lot of neck problems recently, so my orthodontist, she decided it would be a good idea to take it off and see if my jaw sort of expanded and it helped me and my gap closed by itself and I’m really sad about it, too.”
Her reveal might seem a bit ridiculous, but fans were freaking out after they noticed she was no longer sporting her signature smile in recent photos.

Johnson, who was on Fallon to promote her new movie, "The Peanut Butter Falcon," can't understand what all the fuss is about, but had fun with it.
"I’m sad about my gap tooth, too, so I’d really appreciate some privacy in this time,” she joked.

Teasing the actress, the talk show host said her new smile is "beautiful," but Johnson ensured Fallon it's going to open a whole new world of problems.
"Getting food stuck in my tooth,” she listed. "‘Cause before it would just slide right through.”
Then she threw a curveball.

"It's going to come back," Johnson stated.
When Fallon asked how, she replied, "Other retainers. "The world of dentistry is so advanced.”
While they spent tons of time talking about the actress' tooth gap, they didn't address her rekindled romance with Chris Martin.
As The Blast reported, the two reportedly broke up earlier this summer, but were recently seen hitting the beach together.
