By Gary Trock

Cuba Gooding Jr.'s trial for allegedly groping a woman in a New York City bar just took an unfortunate turn for the actor, because he was indicted by a grand jury.

The announcement from the Manhattan District Attorney's office notified that instead of the scheduled trial, the "Radio" star has been indicted on not one, but multiple charges.

"Today, the People filed a certificate of affirmative grand jury action indicating that the defendant has been indicted," a statement from the DA read.

They continued, "Assistant D.A. Jenna Long stated in substance that the charges in the indictment cover the existing incident, as well as a new, previously uncharged incident."

Cuba's case has been adjourned until Tuesday, October 15, where he will be arraigned.

It's unclear exactly what the indictment says and what charges he was hit with, as officials said they will not be unsealed until the star's Supreme Court arraignment. arraignment.

The one incident that is known occurred on June 9 when Cuba was accused of groping a woman's breast and squeezing it without consent at a rooftop bar in Times Square.

Cuba's attorney, Mark Heller, had claimed the star was merely a victim of his own "celebrity status," and indicated that the woman was after a payday. He also claimed that she was not cooperating with investigators after filing the initial report.
