Former "Friends" star Courteney Cox says if there was ever a reboot of the show, she knows who would be the best person to play a young Joey.

Timothee Chalamet, 24, was her top choice to play Joey Tribbiani, the struggling actor who was mostly roommate to Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), but also lived with Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross Geller (David Schwimmer). Matt LeBlanc originally played Joey.

“Well, Timothée Chalamet can be Joey. He’s so great,” she said.

Cox made her announcement while on Kevin Nealon's YouTube show "Hiking With Kevin."

The choice of Chalamet, an Oscar nominee, is reasonable, especially when you compare how a young Joey looks next to him. Both have the same hair, mostly same build, though Chalamet is noticeably slighter.

Nealon had his own thoughts about who could play Ross: Jonah Hill. Maybe, but that one sounds like a reach.

There's no need to worry, as there are no plans for a reboot. These suggestions can just serve as placeholders for the characters for now.

The six stars, including Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, will return to their original soundstage in Burbank, California, for the reunion.

According to Cox, it was definitely an accomplishment that they were able to get everyone together for this, especially because it's been so long and everyone has different lives.

Cox told Nealon:

“It took forever, I don’t know how many years, maybe 15 years. We finally all got together and had dinner. When we get together -- which is never, it just doesn’t happen very often, like twice since we ended the show -- it’s just the most fun. We laugh so hard.”

Fans were excited to hear that there would be an unscripted "Friends" reunion with the entire cast.

Kevin Reilly who is chief content officer of HBO Max and president of TBS, TNT and truTV, made the announcement recently.

“Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together -- we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire 'Friends' library," Reilly said.

The special will debut in May on HBO Max, HBO's new streaming platform.

Cox is definitely amped up for the reunion, telling Nealon:

"We’re going to have the best time. It’s going to be great. But we really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It's gonna be fantastic."

Since they're going to return to Central Perk, it's fair to ask: Are there any plans to bring back Gunther?
