"The Conners" premiered last night without star Roseanne Barr and the ratings already pale in comparison.
Back in March, the rebooted ‘Roseanne’ launched with a massive audience of 18.1 million viewers.
After Barr was fired and the show as revamped and centered around stars John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert, many wondered if the audience would stay.
The ratings came out Wednesday morning and brought in around 11 million viewers. Not too shabby but nowhere near the huge audience for the premiere earlier this year.
Of course, the show had to contend with some other programs, especially the MLB playoffs and the start of the NBA season, but a drop-off of 7 million is significant.
One person who definitely didn't contribute to the ratings was Roseanne. As The Blast reported, the star was relaxing in Hawaii with family, however she did describe her untimely death on the show from an opioid addiction as "grim" and "morbid."
