Legendary rapper Chuck D lost his home during the devastating Thomas Fire, which is now officially the largest wildfire in modern California history.

The revelation came about after fellow Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav tried to serve Chuck D with legal papers because Flav believes Chuck and the group's management firm screwed him out of a ton of cash in profits.

Flav has been trying to serve Chuck with the official lawsuit, but when the process server traveled to the rapper's home in December they learned that it was directly in the path of the Thomas Fire. They filed documents explaning Chuck's home burned down in the fire, and he is believed to be living in a hotel room at an unknown location.

Flav says because Chuck is a traveling musician with Prophets of Rage, and the fact his home is now gone, he is seeking an alternative means to serve the lawsuit.

According to fire officials, the Thomas Fire is 92% contained after burning more than 280,000 acres and destroying over 1,000 structures.

There's a good chance the recent downpour of rain in Southern California will help with the fire, however residents in the area are now dealing with deadly mudslides.

The Blast reached out to Chuck D and his representatives multiple times, but have not heard back yet.
