Christopher Nolan's New Movie 'Tenet' Trailer Leaks Wide, Studio Scrambles to Pull Footage

By Ryan Naumann

The trailer for director Christopher Nolan’s top-secret movie “Tenet” starring Robert Pattinson leaked online, only to be quickly pulled down by producers.

The teaser trailer for the film is being shown during the previews of “Hobbs & Shaw” starring The Rock and Jason Statham. The teaser was not officially posted online but fans have apparently been shooting from inside the theater, and began uploading the leaked footage Friday morning.

Within an hour, the teaser videos were scrubbed offline and displayed messages of, “Video unavailable. This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Warner Bros. Entertainment”.”

One fan wrote, “#Tenet teaser just played in front of #HobbsAndShaw. VERY short but built up well with the music. Quick looks at the characters and some action. It absolutely feels like a Nolan movie. I started to get chills just trying to imagine what this could be about. I’m PUMPED for 2020.”

Another wrote, “going to to buy a $18 imax ticket for hobbs and shaw just so i can see the tenet teaser trailer then leave”

“Tenet” is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2020. The plot of the film is being kept under wraps. The only details known about the project are that it is an epic action film revolving around some sort of international espionage.

Nolan wrote the screenplay and directed “Tenent”, which stars Pattinson, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine.

The director is famous for keeping his project details under wrap and not letting anything get out. Nolan is famous for directing the 2000 thriller “Memento”, 2002’s “Insomnia”, 2005’s “Batman Begins”, 2006’s “The Prestige”, 2008’s “The Dark Knight” with Heath Ledger, 2010’s “Inception” starring Leo DiCaprio, 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises”, 2014’s “Interstellar” with Matthew McConaughey.
