Christina Ricci just filed for divorce after claiming her husband, James Heerdegen, spit on her during an altercation at the couple's home over the weekend.
According to legal documents, filed in the Los Angeles Courts, Ricci filed to end the couple's 7-year marriage and cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the cause of the split.
But, as we reported the 'Addams Family' star called 911 on June 25, 2020, claiming her husband had assaulted her by spitting on her after an argument turned violent.

In the documents, Ricci is asking for sole legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old son, Freddie.
After cops arrived at the actresses home, she told investigators, not only had her husband spit on her, but he was also 'verbally abusive.'
The LAPD issued an 'emergency protective order' which forced James to stay 100 yards away from Ricci and he was made to immediately move out to the couples Woodland Hills, CA home.
The order expires at the end of the day Thursday, hence the divorce filing. The couple can now work out custody and living arrangement with their lawyers.
Our sources say there is NO prenup in the marriage, but Ricci was the main breadwinner in the family, and any assets she brought into the marriage would stay her separate property.
Think 'Addams Family' and 'Casper' money...
It should be noted, James was NOT arrested after officers arrived at the home and no injuries bruises or marks were found on Ricci on the scene.
We broke the story, Ricci planned on filing for divorce immediately following the incident over the weekend and has been getting her affairs in order for several days.
As we reported, the couple met on the set of TV show 'Pan Am' in 2011. Interestingly, there did not seem to be any trouble in paradise in the past few weeks, after Ricci posted a nice message for Father's Day on Instagram, saying, “We ♥️you, Daddy!"
James Heerdegen is also in the entertainment business and works as a 'dolly grip.' A camera dolly is the wheeled cart structure that the camera sits on while they are filming -- he is the person who is responsible for operating it.
Ricci's husband has not respondedto the allegations.
