The 36-year-old mother of three shared an adorable snap of her 3-month-old sleeping in her arms but apparently that is a rare occurrence.
“16 weeks post baby and still adjusting over here… does anyone else have a baby who doesn’t like to nap?” she asked her followers in the caption of her post.
The HGTV star described the great lengths she has gone to in order to make baby Hudson get a visit from the nap fairy but no luck so far.
“We have the room blacked out, white noise machine, soft pajamas and a swaddle and he still has such a hard time going down.”
Anstead did admit to one method that works like a charm but it is not that helpful for a busy mom with other kids and a career.
She continued, “He only likes to sleep on me- which is sweet and wonderful on occasion – except I have other kids and a million things to do … and he woke up like 5 times last night so I feel like I got hit by a train today. Luckily @ant_anstead took the big kids on an adventure so I can stay in my pajamas all day ?. #momlife”
All the mothers answered her call for help and they gave advice and told their funny stories about babies who won’t sleep.
“Had one just like that- I literally had to hold him 24/7 for the first year,” one mom explained. “Now that same kid-Conner- is a 6’3 teenager who barely acknowledges me ???.”
“Have you tried giving him a baby massage with Lavender lotion?” another concerned fan asked.
One mom suggested that she puts her problem in the hands of a professional.
“I hired a sleep specialist cause I couldn’t take it anymore. I’ll send you her number. Fixed Braxy right up, he still naps almost 3 hours a day.”
Many moms just sent her words of encouragement, “Hang in there momma it tough but it gets better ❤️.”
Christina admitted that Hudson has been her hardest baby yet and shot down the chances of expanding her family again.
“Oh, no. We’re done,” the “Christina on the Coast” told US Weekly. “We’re done. We’re done. We’re definitely done! So done. We’re done.”
Hudson is getting easier to deal with.
“He still really just likes being in the house. He doesn’t like going out. As a very busy family, that’s been very difficult. But since he hit the 3-month mark, he’s been doing a lot better. A lot more smiles and coos and sleeping better.”
