Chrissy Teigen has just announced she is pledging $200,000 to help bail out protestors who were arrested during demonstrations against police brutality and George Floyd's murder.

The author and television star took to Twitter to make the announcement and says the donation would be in 'celebration' of whatever the MAGA night is. The term 'MAGA night' started trending after President Donald Trump used it to suggest supporter could mount a counter-protest in Washington D.C.

"In celebration of whatever the f--- maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country," Teigen tweeted.

But, after receiving criticism about the message, she upped the ante.

One person commented on Twitter, "rioters and criminal" to describe the protestors who were arrested on Saturday night.

So, Teigen tweeted this response, "Ooo they might need more money then. Make it $200,000."

Earlier in the day, Teigen retweeted comedian Roy Wood Jr. who posted a screenshot of several attorneys offering free services to protestors. "Minneapolis, Houston, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles. I know there are far more doing the same thing in other cities please add them to this thread," he wrote.

Many fans applauded Chrissy for her support of protestors, but several responded warning her not to bail out any non-deserving individuals.

"Please make sure you only bail out the actual community activists and not the out of town white supremacists who are using this as an opportunity to destroy and make others look bad," one tweet read.

Teigen's donation came on the heels of Colin Kaepernick's message to help "freedom fighters" on the ground in Minnesota and help fund their legal defense.

"In fighting for liberation there’s always retaliation," Kaepernick said Friday, adding -- "We must protect our Freedom Fighters."

He continued, "We started a legal defense initiative to give legal representation to Freedom Fighters in Minneapolis paid for by [Know Your Rights Camp]."

Kaepernick donated his own money to the organization but is reaching out to others, like Teigen, to help fund the cause.

The organization says it has already "identified and teamed up with top defense lawyers in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area to provide legal resources for those in need."
