'Chrisley Knows Best' Stars Cleared Of State Tax Evasion Charge

Todd and Julie Chrisley can breath a small sigh of relief, they have been cleared of their state tax evasion charge.

According to reports, the Georgia Department of Revenue officially dropped the case against the couple of which they owed $2-million in state taxes between 2008 and 2016.

The state confirmed that in fact The 'Chrisley Knows Best' stars actually overpaid their taxes in several of the years. Todd issue a statement after the decision saying, “Julie and I knew all along that we had done nothing wrong and that when the facts all came out, we would be fine. We’re just glad that the Department of Revenue was willing to keep an open mind and look at all the evidence.”

According to the documents, The Department of Revenue say that the Chrisley's owed no taxes for 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The only year they owed money for was 2009, which of course was promptly paid by the family.


In a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight, The Chrisley's attorney said, “We have maintained from day one that there has not been any tax evasion by our clients Todd and Julie Chrisley. This settlement with the state is a big step in the direction of proving their innocence."
