Chris Farley's family is accusing a bicycle company of taking the late comedian's name and plastering it all over a popular line of mountain bikes, and now they want $10 million.
Make Him Smile, Inc. filed suit Monday against Trek Bicycle Corp alleging misappropriation, false endorsement and unfair business practices.
Trek has a line of fat-tired bikes called, "Farley" which are specially designed for multiple types of terrains. According to the lawsuit, first posted by MynewsLA, the bikes are capitalizing on Farley's "fat guy" humor and acting style.
Farley's family also claims his image was damaged in 2013 after Trek recalled 2,600 bicycles.
They're looking for a judge to force Trek to stop selling the bikes, as well as collect the $10 million in damages.
