Woman Suing Chris Brown Over Alleged Rape Demands Singer Be Grilled Under Oath

By Ryan Naumann

The woman suing Chris Brown for an alleged rape at his home has rushed to court demanding he be sanctioned.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jane Doe, who is suing over an alleged 2017 incident, has filed a motion to compel Chris Brown’s deposition. She is also asking the court to sanction Chris in the case.

The filing is heavily redacted which hides the reason for the request for sanctions. Jane Doe clearly wants to question Chris about the night in question and the alleged rape.

A judge has yet to rule.

Last year, Jane Doe sued Chris Brown and his friend Lowell Grissom Jr. She accuses Grissom of sexually assaulting her at an after-party at the singer’s Tarzana home in February 2017.

In her lawsuit the woman claims she ended up at Brown’s Tarzana home after a night of clubbing. She claims the singer plied her with drugs like cocaine, Molly and marijuana before his friend Lloyd Grissom committed the assault. Brown denies all wrongdoing in the lawsuit

The woman claims Brown walked around brandishing firearms, including one that he allegedly carried in his waistband. She is suing seeking unspecified damages. Brown has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

Earlier this year, Doe and Brown were fighting over the singer’s private cell phone number. She argued he should be not given special treatment because of his celebrity. A Los Angeles judge sided with Doe and ordered Brown to provide his cell phone number to the woman.

Brown had to hand over all numbers he used since February 23, 2017 until present. The singer had tried to argue against turning it over to Doe, saying she only wanted it to harass him.

The judge disagreed saying Brown’s cell phone number is relevant. The case is ongoing.
