Last Friday, Cardi B dropped her latest single "WAP," a collaboration with on the rise rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and the Internet nearly combusted. Between the fabulously filthy single and a music video featuring some of the best baddies in the game, "WAP" was all anyone could talk about.

After the video dropped, Cardi tweeted out:

"I wanna say thank you to every woman that was apart of my video! The fact that you made time in your schedules means a lot to me! It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential."

Fans Hated The Kylie Cameo

While Normani's cameo in particular drew praise, fans were not happy about all of the famous cameos in "WAP." Kylie Jenner has a brief appearance in the video, and the backlash was major from the get-go, even inspiring a petition to release a version of the music video with her strutting down a hallway edited out.

Many people voiced their displeasure on Twitter, and writer Danielle Young tweeted out:

"Normani did ALL this and Kylie walked down the hall and opened a door. If that’s not a perfect visual indication of Black women having to do the most and white women do the bare minimum to get somewhere, I don’t know what is."

Cardi Tweets And Deletes

That tweet in particular seemed to set off Cardi, who wrote and deleted a series of tweets explaining why Kylie was included, quote tweeting Young's tweet. She wrote:

"Normani is one of the best female artist that dances Like she dances her f-ckin -ss off!Why would she open a door? Please tell me how that would make sense? The best part of the song is the beat &hook it what makes you want to shake your -ass."

Cardi continued, saying "Not everything is about race. There's issues out here in the world that it is about race that I preach all the time about. This is not about f-ckin race."

Does Kylie Fit In The Video?

Cardi also cited her personal relationship with Jenner, saying:

"She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid [sic] birthday party. Travis and Set are real close and Kris Jenner have given me advice on certain things I ask for and her husband real cool with mine."

While Cardi eventually deleted these tweets, she did leave up one where she quote tweeted "Exactly" on a response that said "Normani danced, that's her talent! Kylie strutted like a model, that's her talent! People just weird!"

What do you think? Does Cardi's reasoning make sense, or was Jenner's presence jarring?
