The family of Cameron Boyce released a statement on the 20-year-old’s fatal medical condition.
Actor Cameron Boyce died suddenly over the weekend at just 20 years-old. His family initially released a statement saying his death was due to a seizure related to an ongoing illness he was battling.
As we reported earlier this week, it was believed that the illness Boyce suffered from was epilepsy.
The family, through a spokesman, confirmed that report to ABC News:
“Cameron’s tragic passing was due to a seizure as a result of an ongoing medical condition, and that condition was Epilepsy. We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart wrenching time, and continue to ask for privacy so that the family, and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make arrangements for his funeral–which in and of itself, is agonizing.”
Boyce first made his acting debut in the film Mirrors at age 9. Soon after, he was in Grown-Ups as the son of Adam Sandler’s character. From there, he went on to star in the Disney Channel shows “Descendants” and “Jessie.”
He had several other projects in the works at the time of his death.
