Burt Reynolds was so sexy that he apparently broke Facebook's algorithm, but the coders are hard at work restoring the 70's sex icon's famous photo and apologizing for hindering the world's ability to see Reynolds amazing physique.

As we reported, scores of the legendary Cosmo centerfold were removed from users' tribute posts after they were flagged for violating the platform's "Community Standards."

Now, a rep for Facebook tells The Blast, The image in question was mistakenly removed.," adding, "We are restoring the image as it does not break our standards and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

We're told FB's automation that detects nudity mistakenly flagged it, but that should all be taken care of going forward.
