"Breaking Bad" fans have been going nuts after Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul teased a possible reunion ... and then they announced their alcohol line.

Both Cranston and Paul had been posting on social media about a "smooth" collaboration between the two stars, and obviously everyone thought they were referring to a "Breaking Bad" movie.

After announcing that the real project was just a collaboration on a new line of mezcal called, Dos Hombres.

"Our Mezcal. It was on a dirt-road, in a tiny village, hours away from the center of town, we found it and it was perfect. Holy shit it was perfect," Cranston explained.

He added, "We looked at each other and just simply nodded. This is it. We named it Dos Hombres - two guys on a quest. It’s been a long and crazy journey and we couldn’t be happier to share this with you and the rest of the world."

Unfortunately, "Breaking Bad" fans didn't care about the booze, and immediately began complaining:

"No way. I was hoping for a trailer of the breaking bad movie. I’m so pissed off :("

"I thought it would at least remotely be related to Breaking Bad. DISAPPOINTED."

"My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined"

"The biggest troll in the history of trolls.Maybe ever."

"o that was it?! That's what the hype was about? Nothing related to Breaking Bad?! DISAPPOINTED!"

The comments keep rolling in on Cranston and Paul's IG feed, and they have not yet addressed the immense disdain for their new project.

Since the insanely-popular AMC show ended in 2013 after five seasons, fans have been clamoring for a movie to continue the adventures of Jesse Pinkman and Walter White.

Of course, since Heisenberg didn't survive the finale -- IT'S BEEN 6 YEARS -- the movie would have to be a prequel.

One thing is for sure ... after such a let down, we could use a drink.
