Britney Spears “Crossroads” co-star Taryn Manning is addressing the #FreeBritney movement, saying it’s not giving the “Toxic” singer “the dignity she deserves.” The “Orange Is The New Black” alum came out of left field by sharing her own thoughts on the star’s mental health and speaking out against #FreeBritney.
Taking to her social media on Friday, July 18, Taryn Manning dropped a throwback from the 2002 movie set. The photo included Britney Spears, Taryn Manning, and co-stars Zoe Saldana and Anson Mount.
“Such a wonderful time with this crew! #retro #crossroads,” she began before turning the focus on Britney Spears’ mental state. “Britney I know you’re strong af and have your own brain and thought process. To me you look happy and like you’re having a blast! Keep up the happy posts and your faith in Jesus Christ.”
Fans have been looking at the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer’s social media posts with a microscope with many conspiracy theorists saying she’s attempting to reach out for help through her content but is not allowed to reply to fans’ concern. Some believe she’s a prisoner in her own home.

The #FreeBritney movement was started by fans who believe the singer should not be under conservatorship any longer, but Taryn Manning doesn’t seem to be in agreement with the hashtag and has her own suggestion.
“How about instead of #freebritney we say #GodIsWatchingOverBritney,” the “OITNB” star wrote. “How about let’s give this wonderful woman the dignity she deserves and earned Until you know the facts stop speculating and perpetuating the father of lies,” she continued. There’s one thing that Taryn Manning can agree with #FreeBritney supporters though.
“We all know she’s under a type of control that’s unfair and things will be fixed. Have faith,” she instructed Britney’s Army. Ending her lengthy statement, Taryn Manning added, “Wish her well! Send good vibes of no fear! Please! #alldarknesscomestolight.”
Britney Spears’ next conservatorship hearing is scheduled for later this month and fans are gearing up to protest outside the courthouse. Taryn Manning in the latest star to weigh-in on #FreeBritney. Supporters of the movement include Rose McGowan, Snooki, Paris Hilton, and Rebel Wilson.
