Jamie Lynn Spears' Daughter In Hospital After Accident At School

Jamie Lynn Spears probably didn't think her Valentine's Day would end up with a hospital visit but that's exactly what happened when her oldest daughter, Maddie Briann, had an "accident at recess."Britney Spears' 11-year-old niece was taken to the hospital to get treated on Friday and despite ending up with her arm wrapped in bandages, the "Zoey 101" star's daughter appeared in good spirits. Keeping her 1.7 million Instagram fans in the loop, Jamie Lynn Spears posted a snap of her daughter smiling while holding up her hurt arm.
"This one keeps us on our toes, no matter what the occasion is… little accident at recess today, but nothing too serious," the mom of two wrote. Revealing she's been overwhelmed with text messages from friends and family checking in, Jamie Lynn Spears continued, "Thanks to everyone who helped us get this checked on quick, and everyone who text to check in!" She said it was just "easier" to reveal the update on Maddie's injury on social media rather "respond to every text." The 28-year-old actress joked she'd "forget to respond" to all the texts and would worry that people would think she's "rude."
Prior to the hospital visit, Jamie Lynn Spears told fans how special Valentine's Day is to her family. Sharing a photo of Maddie and her youngest daughter, 1-year-old Ivey Joan surrounded by presents, Britney Spears' sister wrote, “Some may say it’s just a silly, manufactured holiday, but if there is any excuse to eat candy all day, while spreading some extra love, then I think it is a holiday worth celebrating." She ended her message sending Valentine's Day cheer to her fans. "Happy Valentine’s Day everyone???♥️."
She married Jamie Watson in 2014 and the couple experienced another freak accident with Maddie three years later. In 2017, Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter, who was 8 at the time, was riding an ATV on the family's Louisiana property on Super Bowl Sunday when she flipped the vehicle and landed in a pond. Maddie was submerged under the water for several minutes. Authorities were called to the scene and arrived minutes later. They successfully freed the young girl from her seat belt and safety netting. She spent nearly one week in the hospital before she was able to return home.

Jamie Lynn Spears commemorated the anniversary of that accident earlier this month. “3 years ago today, Super Bowl Sunday fell on February 5th, and I’ll never forget that, because it was the day my whole world stopped,” she wrote. Describing the trauma that happened that day, Jamie Lynn Spears continued, “It started like most Sunday’s, going to church, visiting family, to suddenly trying to save my daughter’s life, to them taking her away, to us believing we had lost her forever, and it literally felt like the world stood still around me.” She ended the anniversary post by writing, “I have never spoken fully in detail about that day, and the events that followed, but what I will share is that God blessed us with a true miracle. Maddie not only stayed here with us, but she made a full recovery.”
