Britney Spears is getting real about the downfall fame can bring, including not being able to trust those around her.
The hitmaker, who’s currently enthralled in a battle over her conservatorship, revealed she doesn’t have a large amount of people she trusts and she’s “lonely at times.”
Taking to social media to air out her deepest thoughts, Spears posted a picture of a quote from a website called HappyLife.com, which stated this warning: “Pay close attention to the people who don’t clap when you win.”
Then she added her own very-telling words.
“Living in LA is such a trip!” Spears began her post, adding, “It can be lonely at times.”
The singer revealed that with fame, “You never know who to trust, and some people can be fake.”
Despite having a team around her constantly, she told her fans, “I have a very small circle of friends, and simply do what makes me happy.”
It appears Spears may be talking about social media trolls, because she explains, “It breaks my heart to see the comments on my posts sometimes …. so I simply choose not to look anymore.”
She added, “let the clever haters do what they do best …. hate!!!”
Of course, her hunky boyfriend threw his support the star’s way, commenting, “winners don’t hate or bully, losers (haters) only do because they don’t have what you have (which is the best heart in the world).”
It’s an interesting move for Britney, who usually loads her social media up with videos of workouts or fashion shows, especially during her conservatorship battle.
As The Blast reported, the judge in Britney’s conservatorship has ordered a special investigator to look at all angles and aspects of the situation, as the singer has asked for certain freedoms granted.
It has long been debated whether Britney’s team, including her father Jamie Spears, were pushing Britney beyond her limits while signing her up for another round of performances in Sin City. Her manager has maintained that Britney was the one who wanted to keep working, but questions have been raised about her team’s handling of Britney’s fragile mental state while negotiating lucrative business deals.
After the court investigator has prepared their report, the judge will take into consideration the findings when deciding what the court feels is the best move for Britney going forward.
A decision could be made as early as next month.
