Britney Spears fans are ready to hit the streets to protest in support of the pop star being let out of her conservatorship.
#FreeBritney supporters are scheduled to appear outside the Hollywood offices of Britney’s business manager, Lou Taylor, who runs the company TriStar Sports & Entertainment Group.
The fans state, “The rally is an effort to draw attention and garner answers surrounding the firm’s owner and CEO Lou M. Taylor and her involvement in the conservatorship of pop music superstar Britney Spears.”
In a recent court filing, Britney revealed her father worked out a deal with TriStar for the company to be paid $500,000 a year from her income, which the singer’s lawyer believes is too much.
FreeBritney supporters say, “From the inception of Britney Spears’s basic rights being stripped away from her in February 2008, there has been one common thread — Lou. M. Taylor. The past 12 years she has largely gone unnoticed in the news media with much of the attention focused on Britney and her father. Protesters seek to change that. “
A hearing in the conservatorship is scheduled for Wednesday.
As The Blast previously reported, Britney is currently trying to remove her father Jamie Spears from managing her conservatorship. She fought back against his attempt to seal the court record. She believes the public has a right to see the updates in the case.
Britney even addressed her father calling #FreeBritney a “conspiracy theory.” The singer shut down the claim saying she appreciates the support of all her fans.
According to sources, Britney’s family is currently “at war” with each other amid the conservatorship drama. A source told Us Weekly, “Britney’s family is at war with each other and it’s all because of the conservatorship.”
The source added, “Britney is remarkably resilient and is very engaged in the conservatorship, whereas in years prior, she wasn’t at all. She would never ask questions about it or go to court.”
They say Britney’s mother, “Lynne wants a care plan established that would transition Britney’s personal life out of the conservatorship. Jamie has told her that Britney needs long-term monitoring, and he doesn’t think she is prepared to take such a drastic action,” the source explains. “With the conservatorship being extended until the beginning of 2021, Jamie was relieved because all he wants is to keep Britney safe and at her best.”
