Britney Spears reportedly is tired of being controlled by her father and is protesting against her conservatorship.
According to Us Weekly, the singer is refusing to record new music out of “resentment for her father Jamie Spears and the rules of her conservatorship.”
A source told the outlet, Spears is enjoying her time off from work after years of back to back albums and tours. Us reports the singer has no plans to get back into the studio. The source claims her decision is a form of protest against her father and the control he has over her life.
The source said, “Britney has expressed that she doesn’t want to work again because she doesn’t want to continue to essentially keep herself under the conservatorship. Britney resents that her dad is given a monthly allowance which is around $10,000 a month for his services overseeing her finances.”
As The Blast first reported, Britney’s conservatorship was recently extended by a Los Angeles Court judge. A hearing will be held later this year to determine the next step in the conservatorship.
Britney’s protests come amid her son Jayden Federline’s explosive Instagram live stream. Jayden went on Instagram live to talk to his followers which included a ton of Britney fans.
During the chat, he discussed his disdain for his grandpa Jamie Spears who he called a “di-k” and “jerk.” One person said, “kill your grandfather” to which Jayden said, “Bro, I was thinking the same thing.” One fan asked Jayden to “help your mom break free” and he responded, That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Jayden’s account was quickly shut down and turned to private. All of his posts were deleted from his page. Sources told People, Britney is in the dark about Jayden’s Instagram live and had not seen the video in question.
