Bode Miller‘s wife is proudly displaying her baby bump ahead of giving birth to their twins following the tragic death of their 19-month-old daughter.
Morgan Beck showcased her oversized growing belly on Monday, less than one month before she’s scheduled to give birth.
Sitting on her couch, the Olympic skier’s wife held up her shirt and revealed the bulging bump. “38 weeks with two rebels,” she wrote. “Already taking after dad,” added the former professional volleyball player.
In the snap, Morgan is looking down and smiling sweetly at her growing belly. She recently revealed the twins’ due date, which is November 11th.
Sharing the news and describing the “guilt” and “fear” she had by adding to the family — she was pregnant when they lost Emmy due to a drowning accident last year — she posted a heartbreaking message about moving on.
Revealing it was “the most confusing experience of my life,” she said, “The conflict of emotions from what was pure joy turned to guilt and terror overnight.”
Asking herself how she could “love this baby the way I loved Emmy?” or even if that would be okay, Morgan stated it was giving birth to her now one-year-old son, Easton, that pushed her through.
“Easton provided us an even closer bond to his sister. The moment I heard his cry, something sparked back alive in my soul. Hope. Love,” Morgan wrote. Adding, “I knew I was Mom and my kids deserved the world from me. Everything was going to be okay. My joy and grief could coexist.”
Continuing the post, she stated the twins were due on “the lucky day/angel number of 11/11 which is not far off from @millerbode Birthday of 10/12.”
As The Blast reported, Bode and Morgan’s daughter, Emmy died last summer after falling into a neighbor’s pool during a party. Emergency workers raced to the home but were unable to resuscitate the child.
Since then, the famous couple has shined a light on drowning tragedies and the importance of making sure children know how to swim. They’ve taken precautionary measures ensuring all their kids, even their youngest, have taken swim lessons.
