Hoppus informed his Twitter followers that they had just finished breakfast and were heading to a mall when over the intercom system they "just announced that there are reports of another active shooter directly across the street at a location different from the first shootings."

Hoppus told fans he didn't see any police or helicopters and was hoping "it’s just an over abundance of caution and someone got the malls confused."

An hour later he gave an update, saying news of a separate incident was incorrect, but "we are still in our hotel."

He added, "federal agent at the door to the building."

Blink 182 is currently on tour with Lil Wayne and are scheduled to play El Paso's Don Haskins center on Sunday.

It's unclear if the rapper is staying in the same hotel as the band or if their show will continue as planned.
