Hip-Hop mogul Birdman has just made an incredibly generous offer to help people suffering during the unemployment in his home town of New Orleans.
The ‘Cash Money Records’ boss has just offered to pay the month of May’s rent for an entire neighborhood near where he grew up in uptown New Orleans.
Birdman took to Instagram to announce the shocking gift, and in his post, he was very specific were about exactly he wanted his money spent.
“I would like 2 offer to pay everybody rent for month of May (for those who in need) in residents area of UPTOWN New Orleans where I was born and raised at from mac melph calio and ST Thomas housing also from 3rd ward to 17th ward,” he began.
The rapper/producer thanked several people for helping put everything together and supporting him, saying, “I would like HANO to support us on accomplishing this and @q93fm I also spoke with @theuptownangela to help me put this together I would like our mayor @mayorcantrell help support this cause.”
He continued, “I also wanna thank all hospitals on front line Risking they life to save lives I wanna thanks everybody that wrk with tha Gladys and Johnny foundation my company cash money records @cashmoneyofficial @republicrecords for always supporting our foundation for 20 plus years.”
As you know, Birdman is one of the wealthiest rap stars in history, launching his own independent label which spawned HUGE stars like Lil’ Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj.
The Cash Money boss has made headlines recently about his upcoming possible marriage to pop star Toni Braxton. The singer addressed the nuptials during a recent interview saying they will tie the knot later this year.
“We have been going back and forth on wedding dates. We had a great date but then it was getting too big, we didn’t want a big wedding,” Braxton said.
She added, “Then we said, “’OK, we don’t want it too small. Then he said, ‘OK, let’s do the drive-thru.’ I’m like, “We are not doing a drive-thru. I’m not ordering fries after we get married, babe. We’ve been trying to figure it out, but we are definitely gonna do it this year.”
