Big Sean is addressing his ex-fiancée Naya Rivera’s death for the first time since her passing earlier this month. The “I Don’t F– With You” rapper took to social media to open up about his grief late Friday evening, calling the former “Glee” star a “hero.” Naya Rivera went missing while out on Lake Piru in Southern California with her four-year-old son. Authorities confirmed she drowned but not before she pulled her child to safety. The 33-year-old actress’ son was found alone on the boat on Wednesday, July 8. He told police that he was swimming in the lake with his mom and when he got back on the boat, he looked behind and saw her disappear into the water.
It took five days to locate her body and while Big Sean remained quiet during the search, he did like a few tweets praying for Naya Rivera’s safe return. Her body was found in the lake on Monday, July 13 and now, days later, her ex-fiancé is remembering his former flame. Posting two photos of Naya Rivera — one posing solo and the other with her son — the rapper wrote, “Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul!”

Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own.” He then turned the tables to speak about the time they shared together.
Big Sean continued by staying, “ I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person.” He then told his fans that he’s “grieving and in shock. He added, “I can’t believe this is real.” Ending his heartbreaking tribute, Big Sean wrote, “I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya ???.”
Big Sean and Naya Rivera got engaged in October 2013 after dating just six months. They called off it quits in April 2014.
