Listen To Beyonce. She Knows.

Beyonce is always so relatable.

Bey obviously loves getting dressed up, like most of us do. But the world-famous singer also cleans out her closet like we do, too, although her articles of clothing are most likely on another level.

When going through her closet, Knowles says she keeps a few things in mind:

“I think it’s important to have great basics that you can wear again and again."

Beyonce spoke with Elle magazine for their 2020 cover and discussed her wardrobe, as well as her new Ivy Park / Adidas collection, saying versatility is something she looks for in clothing.

Style Icon

Elle reports that Beyonce's new collection with Adidas will feature gender-neutral items.

"It incorporates my personal style and expands that to include something for everyone. I love experimenting with fashion, mixing high and low, sportswear with couture, even masculine and feminine. This new line is fun and lends itself to creativity, the ultimate power.

I appreciate the beauty of gender-neutral clothing and breaking the so-called fashion rules."

Beyonce, ever the innovator, also encourages people to make their style personal:

"You can create your own style by experimenting and taking chances and continually reinventing your look with all of these pieces," she told Elle.

Even Beyonce Donates

She also revealed what happens to some of her clothes once she's done with them.

Beyonce says she gives some of her clothes to charity, which, honestly, is the absolute best thing she could do. She favors charities which “support women getting back on their feet," a very important cause.

Playing Dress-Up

She says there are some pieces that she would like to keep just so that she can pass them down to her daughters.

On a recent IG post, Knowles wrote “And I save my special pieces for my daughters!” and then shared a line from her song "Lovehappy":

“I give my daughter my custom dresses, so she gon’ be litty. Vintage pieces by the time she hit the city, yeah-ah!!”

The Hunt For Balance

One more reason to love Bey, besides her impeccable taste, is that she's readily able to reveal she struggles to find that delicate balance between work and life. She is Beyonce, after all, but she's also a mom. She says each day can be "challenging."

“I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life. Making sure I am present for my kids—dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family — all while running a company can be challenging.

Juggling all of those roles can be stressful, but I think that’s life for any working mom.”
