“Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel is growing her Skinnygirl brand with plans to start hawking everything from sunglasses to purses and even more clothing.
According to new documents obtained by The Blast, the reality star is looking to lock down the rights to use the mark “Skinnygirl” for selling eyeglasses, reading glasses, sunglasses, frame, and eyewear.
The “RHONY” star will also be launching Skinnygirl branded backpacks, clutch purses, totes, and wallets.
Frankel’s company, SG Marks, filed more docs to secure the use of the name “SG Injeanious” to use to hawk everything from jeans, trousers, dresses, and jackets. Frankel announced her plans to sell jeans earlier this year and her website advertises Skinnygirl Jeans as being available for purchase beginning next month.
As The Blast first reported, Bethenny Frankel has also started the process to trademark the name “BrynnyGirl” to launch a kid’s clothing line. Frankel wants to use the name to hawk everything from clothing for babies, toddlers and children, shoes, underwear, hats, swimsuits, swim trunks, sun protective clothing, rash guards for babies, baseball caps and hats and diaper covers.
Skinnygirl was founded by Frankel in 2011. She later sold it for a reported $100 million but stayed on as CEO.
The company was launched with its signature Skinnygirl cocktail but Frankel has expanded the business to include popcorn, sweeteners, water enhancers, dressing, and candy.
