Dakota Chapman, Beth Chapman’s grandson, expressed his emotion after attending his grandmother’s memorial service, which he said was “amazing.”
Beth Chapman’s Colorado memorial service was held over the weekend. Chapman lost her battle with cancer on June 26 at 51.
“What an amazing event today we love you grandma,” Dakota wrote of the ceremony on Twitter, adding a blue heart and a red heart to his message, with the hash tags #legacy and #lives, along with others.

Dakota Chapman reiterated the sentiment on his Facebook page, where he shared a picture with other members of his family as they celebrated Beth Chapman’s life.
Dog talked about the last moments he spent with Beth:
“One of the last things she said [was] ‘It’s a test of my faith. She had faith and that was it. There’s things you go through when you’re dying, like steps like you do when you lose someone, right? You get mad at them, and then you go through all these steps.”
“Well, the last step when you’re dying is to accept it. “And she said to me the other day, ‘Honey, that last step, I ain’t taking…’ So go Bethy.”
Dakota’s dad is Leland Chapman, whose father is Duane “Dog” Chapman.
Like Dog, Leland is a bounty hunter and bail bondsman based out of Hawaii, so it would make perfect sense that Dakota is a bounty hunter too.
